during this fall of 2022 I had a chance to visit NBC 4 News Station with my previous College Montgomery College, my former Communications professor Elizabeth Feldman took us there as a treat for us to see where she used to work and to teach us about the news as a huge diversity theme as well. This was a happy occasion as we were taught about journalism in the news world. We toured the set of the NBC 4 News team Aaron Gilchrist and Yonne Yun. We learned a lot about how the workers at NBC 4 news live especially important and stressful lives sometimes with waking up every morning and getting to the station so early in the morning, especially if they have kids. We also were treated to a behind the scenes look in how they create the floats for the Thanksgiving Macys Holiday Parade. Our professor felid man she took us backstage where meet the press was shot, and we were able to tour the set and we also met the host of meet the press. Chuck Todd who gave us a history lesson on how meet the press was started, and who the host was before he was. We were at the NBC 4 Studio from 11 AM until 2 PM that afternoon so we were a bit tired and bit hungry as well. A that point we are only there. We were also showed how the NBC studio was created and the History behind the studio itself. I was able to take a photo behind the desk of meet the press as we were touring the set as well. We also toured the green screen room where the NBC 4 weather team broadcasts the news as well. What’s important about our professor taking us to visit the NBC 4 news station was to teach us and show us how the news is and how people work and do their jobs at NBC 4 as well. I think for some reporters doing the news reporting is a favorite past time for them to come to work every day and to getting a chance to broadcast the news or to cover a breaking news story, I am sure it must be overly exciting for them.
